Creating the basis for the new year
Since August, we have been preparing the website for seeforfree 2026 together with Museumsdienst Hamburg. On Reformation Day, seeforfree offers free admission to numerous Hamburg museums and exhibition venues.
For the new edition, we close the previous year and prepare the structure for the current content. This also includes access for the participating venues: existing permissions are adjusted and new ones set up if required.
The museums then update their programmes, opening hours, images and other information via the intended input forms. Museumsdienst Hamburg takes over the content review and approval.
Preparing design and publication
We prepare the key visual for the website and integrate it for different screen sizes. The content for 2026 is first prepared in the protected area and published after approval.
The existing technical basis is retained. This allows the participating editorial teams to continue working with the familiar input forms.
Additional capacity for the day of the event
For 31 October, we are also preparing the temporary switch to a more powerful server environment. This provides additional capacity for the expected traffic peaks.
