The training portal of the Hamburg Chamber of Crafts supports young people in choosing a career. With blog posts, topic pages and campaigns, it provides information about paths into the skilled trades. Since September 2022, we have been supporting the website technically and continuously developing it further.
Publish new topics independently.
New campaigns and topics regularly extend the training portal. For this, the editorial team needs flexible content building blocks with which it can put together new pages itself.
At the same time, the technical basis and the extensions used have to be maintained continuously. Our support therefore also includes TYPO3 upgrades and adjustments to consent management.
Developed further step by step since 2022.
Since the takeover, we have adapted existing functions, added new content building blocks and implemented several TYPO3 upgrades.
Takeover and first adjustments
From November 2022, we adapted, among other things, the menu, search, footer, image crops and contact form.
Upgrade to TYPO3 11.5
In February 2023, the switch to TYPO3 11.5 took place. We then optimised the date overview, the header and the slider.
Technical campaign connection
In April 2024, we used the existing content building blocks to build the pages for an ad campaign; the ads themselves are managed by an external marketer.
Upgrade to TYPO3 12.4
In December 2024, we updated the portal to TYPO3 12.4. In February 2025, adjustments to consent management followed.
New content building blocks and TYPO3 13.4
From November 2025, we developed content building blocks for the climate occupations page and an expandable FAQ area. In April 2026, the upgrade to TYPO3 13.4 followed.

Content building blocks for new topics.
For the climate occupations page, we developed reusable content building blocks. The editorial team can also combine them for further topics and build new pages without having the existing elements developed again.
Develop TYPO3 further step by step.
During support, we updated the portal successively to TYPO3 11.5, 12.4 and 13.4. The version changes were each prepared and the existing functions checked.
